Join Cornell Postdocs practice picket!

Postdocs at Weill Cornell Medicine have been fighting for over a year for a fair contract, but Cornell is still refusing to agree to basic job protections. At a time when international scholars are under attack by this administration, it’s especially disappointing to see Cornell choosing to weaken job security for postdocs. Academic institutions should be protecting the scientists they rely on, not making them easier to exploit.

In response to Cornell’s failure to reach a fair agreement, Cornell postdocs will be holding a practice picket this Wednesday, August 6, at 12 PM, outside 1300 York Avenue, to show their power and readiness to strike if necessary.

What happens at Cornell will impact researchers everywhere, and Cornell postdocs have asked us to share information about their event, which will send a clear message to all our employers across the city that academic workers are ready to defend our rights and job protections. Let us know here if you plan to attend.
