Join us at the “Kill the Cuts” rally on 4/8, at 5pm in Bryant Park!

The Trump administration is pushing massive cuts to the NIH and other federal research agencies, and academic institutions across the country are already responding with reduced admissions for PhD students, hiring freezes, and laying off workers. If these cuts go through, they will jeopardize our work and, for those of us who are here on visas, our ability to remain in the country.

April is a critical time for funding decisions in Congress. That is why academic workers and allies across NYC are planning to attend the ”Kill the Cuts” rally at 5pm on April 8th at Bryant Park, part of a National Day of Action to fight back against the funding cuts that are affecting our institutions right now. It is also extremely important that we come together as union members at this moment, so that we have the strongest possible voice in shaping how our institution responds to this crisis.

Here at Einstein, grad workers, postdocs, researchers, and staff will be meeting up in front of the Price Building at 3:15pm before heading to the subway to Bryant Park.
