RSVP for the NYC Day of Action on 2/19, 4pm at Washington Square Park!

Since inauguration day, the new administration has frozen federal funding, eliminated funding for climate research and underrepresented researchers, and defunded research through slicing NIH indirect cost rates. These escalating Executive Orders have thrown us into uncertainty about the future of our careers and public research as a whole.

On February 19th, 4pm at Washington Square Park, academic workers across NYC are taking action in coordination with researchers around the country to defend our work and research in the public interest.

From coast to coast, academic workers are organizing to defend scientific research. Join researchers from Einstein, Columbia, Mount Sinai, Rockefeller University, Weill Cornell Medicine, New York University, City University of New York, and more as part of a national action to protest these reckless attacks on public research and education. Coming together across institutions gives us more strength to fight for our research, our careers, and the public interest.
