Last week, we achieved a landmark victory in our union election, with an 82.6% majority yes vote and close to 90% of postdocs turning out to vote. This strong mandate amplifies our collective voice and strengthens our position as we prepare to negotiate with Einstein for better working conditions.
Mark your calendars for our upcoming Postdoc Union Town Hall sessions to discuss our next steps on Thursday, May 30th, at 12:30 p.m. in Price Building Room 551 and at 5 p.m. over Zoom. These sessions are not just about discussing our next steps but also about fostering a sense of community among postdocs, sharing insights, and addressing any questions you may have about our election win and the process going forward. All of our active involvement in talking with our coworkers is crucial in building strong participation by postdocs in the upcoming phases of our campaign. This includes voting on our bargaining committee and setting initial goals for bargaining, which will be based on surveys, town halls, and other forms of feedback.
