On Monday, January 12th and January 26th, we had our 33rd and 34th bargaining sessions with the Einstein administration.
After having built momentum with our rally in December we were able to reach tentative agreements on Workload and Research Integrity.

The Workload article provides postdocs with protections against unreasonable work requirements and establishes the possibility to work part-time if health or family reasons temporarily prevent them from making a full-time commitment

The Research Integrity article establishes a transparent procedure for investigating alleged research misconduct and protects postdocs against retaliation in connection to their participation in such an investigation
Additionally, we reached agreement on the Einstein’s Postdoctoral Fellow Mistreatment Policy – a policy that protects postdocs from bullying and other abusive conduct which Einstein tried to unilaterally change.
We also discussed Appointment Security: Appointments and Reappointments, Discipline and Dismissal, International Postdoctoral Fellows Rights, and Union Rights and Access.
Unfortunately, Einstein still refuses to provide postdocs with job security and longer appointment lengths. We will have to increase the urgency they feel to agree to protections that postdocs at other unionized institutions in New York City already have.
